Unite Medical’s sponsor money has been used to send a crainofacial surgeon for specialist training in Germany. COE of Future Faces, Tony Markus, wrote:
‘Thank you, and all the team, for raising a fantastic total of £1250. A great effort and it will be put to very good use. We currently have one surgeon in Bangalore who, having completed his medical and dental degrees and some basic craniofacial surgery training, has just established a new centre at the NH Hospital in that city. Although his surgical skills are adequate, he needs refining and I have suggested he travels to two centres in Germany where he could spend a few months with leading surgeons. I have proposed to the Trustees that we could spend the money you raised supporting this’
We will continue to post updates on the progress of the Unite Medical Training Fellow and on the progress of Future Faces as a whole.
